Referrals
We can provide you with custom, computerized referrals to regulated family
child care centers, family child care providers, and preschools in
Crawford, Grant, Iowa, Juneau, La Crosse,
Lafeyette, and Monroe, Richland, and Vernon Counties based on
the following criteria:

The
age of your child.
-
The
type of schedule you work and care is needed.

The
location you prefer.
-
The
type of environment you prefer; such as smoke free, no pets, etc.
-
The
special needs of your child; for example a provider with special needs
training.
We do not rate or recommend
specific child care providers. It is up to you to evaluate the quality of
care being provided by each provider.
There are several ways that you can receive a custom
referral:

list can be picked up, mailed, faxed, or e-mailed.

Parent Consultations
We can provide you with information and consultations on how to
evaluate child care providers to ensure that you choose a provider who
offers the quality you are comfortable with. As a parent, you can call
either the Family Resources' Referral or Certification departments to see
if a particular provider has any complaints in their file.

Enhanced Corporate
Services
We work
in partnership with businesses to meet employees' child care needs.
Programs may be designed to offer information on enhanced referrals and
on-site seminars. Seminar topics include:
- Choosing quality child care.
- Juggling work and family.
We also offer articles that can be included in your
company newsletter.
Resource Development
We encourage the development of new child
care businesses in the areas they are most needed by local families.
Community Planning
and Advocacy
We work independently and cooperatively with early childhood organizations
and decision makers to establish:

care issues by being a central source for information.

public policy which addresses the needs of young children and families.
