is being a dad all about? Being a dad is hard work and your children

Active Parenting

play the leadership role in the family. The skills taught in this 6-week
video-based program help parents build important qualities of character
in their children as well as themselves. Topics to include Parenting
Styles Past/Present,
Building Character and
Self-Esteem, Active Communication,
Effective Discipline, and
Sidestepping Power Struggles.
Open to parents who are
interested in receiving a required parenting class completion
certificate and/or parents who want to improve their parenting skills
for lifelong learning.

Parenting Responsibility
Mondays | April 12th - May 17th | 6-8PM
This is a
six-week course to help parents work together as partners to raise their
children after a separation, divorce, break-up, or for parents who have
never been married to each other. For both parents this means
understanding new roles, responsibilities, and rights. Cooperative
co-parenting can help reduce stress and conflict for both parents and
especially for children. This educational class will help both parents
develop the vital skills needed to create a “parenting plan” with their
children’s best interest in mind. This plan is written during the course
of the six weeks. Space is limited so registration is required. For more
information or to register contact Alyson at (608) 784-8125.
