This month follows these theme related ideas:

Shape: Oval
Color: Green
Nursery Rhyme: Humpty Dumpty
Song: Old MacDonald Had a Farm
Suggested Stories: Dr. Suess books such as Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hatches an Egg, etc.
Sensory Material:  Cornmeal

MON TUE WED THU FRI
Play with play dough. Practice your phone number. Say it and write it if you can. Put cornmeal in your sensory pan. Add plastic animals. Trace and cut out green ovals. Say the nursery rhyme of the month.
Make a book mark and cover with clear contact paper if  available. Go to the library and check out a Dr. Suess book. Make Green Eggs and Ham. Add green food coloring to scrambled eggs. Read a Dr. Suess book and talk about what an author is. Count green shirts in your house.
Make GORP for a snack. Mix ½ cup each of your favorite ingredients. Go for a walk and bring some GORP to snack on. Hop across a room and count your hops. Draw a self-portrait. Sing "Old MacDonald Had a Farm."
Play a board game. Read Horton Hatches an Egg and talk about what hatches from eggs. Pull apart plastic eggs and match them back up. Draw a picture of something that comes out of an egg. Tell a story. Say your first and last name. Practice writing them if you can.
