• Your child care professional uses the wages earned to purchase supplies needed to maintain their facility so they can continue to provide quality care. They also use these wages to pay business and personal expenses, as you do.

• Respect their facility/home, their time, and their knowledge as you would expect them to respect you.

• Review policies and procedures.

• Share information with your provider about your child’s home schedule, moods, and activities daily.

• Slow down and relax when dropping off or picking up your child. This will give time for conversation about your child’s day and if anything is needed for the following day.

• Be honest if problems occur or questions arise. Talk to your provider calmly. Listen carefully to each other and try to brainstorm together.

• Always drop off and pick up on time.

• Always pay fees on time.

• Compliment your provider often.
