to be on a public transportation route?

Does the provider need
to be in a certain school zone?

would I prefer?

Types of regulated care available:
The descriptions on the pages listed
below are a brief summary of the differences between each type of
regulatory agency a provider may choose to go through.
Just because a person is regulated
does not guarantee good, quality child care, it simply means they have met
the requirements of that agency. We encourage parents to visit, observe,
and interview several providers. After you have found a provider you are
interested in, contact the
regulatory agency to find out if there have been
any complaints or concerns.
Child Care Resource & Referral does
not rate or recommend any particular child care provider, we will be more
than happy to help you determine what quality child care consists of.
Please call us if you have any questions or concerns, at (608) 784-4519 or
(800) 873-1768.
Other sources of information:
When you as a parent entrust
the care of your child to another, you are making an important decision.
Therefore, take your time before you choose a child care program. Always
visit several child care programs at least once, ask many questions, and
tour the entire facility or home.
