Nurturing Your Spirited Child
August 16th | 6-7:30PM
The key word that distinguishes spirited children from other children is “more” – more intense, more persistent, more sensitive, and more uncomfortable with change. Learn to understand temperamental traits, identify cues leading up to challenging behavior, how to cope with tantrums and more. Presented by: Barbara Hopkins, Family Resources of Sparta

September 27th | 6-7:30PM
You may know about 4-H from the County Fair or think of it as an organization for “farm kids.” In 4-H, young people make new friends, develop new skills, become leaders and help shape their communities. 4-H is open to all youth, grades K-12, no matter where they live. Learn more about 4-H and the opportunities for your child in your community.

Monday, September 27th | 6:30-8:30PM | $15 Training Fee (CEU’s included with fee)

Do you know that bloodborne pathogens are not transmitted by touching an infected person, through coughing or sneezing, or by using the same equipment, materials, toilets, or water fountains as an infected person? It is important that people be educated as to what are viable means of transmission of these dangerous diseases, and what are not. Learn how to properly clean up human blood or body fluids. Why you should have a bloodborne pathogen kit and what items should be in the kit.

Additional training will be given on:

  • Car seat safety

  • Lice

  • Proper hand washing procedures

  • Safe sleep practices

The training fee must be paid at the time of registration and is non-refundable. Space is limited so register early! For more information or to register, call (608) 374-4190 or send an e-mail to juleekatona@centurytel.net.
