Checklist For Specific Age Groups

 

Infants:

  • Has caregiver received Infant Brain Development training?

  • Has caregiver completed the Infant Toddler course?

  • Has caregiver received SIDS: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome training?

  • Are formula and cereal provided?

  • Are feeding and changing times recorded and shared with parents?

  • Where and how often does diaper changing occur?

  • Is feeding time “on demand” or scheduled?

  • Is the child held while being fed?

  • What types of toys are available?

  • What activities are provided?

  • What is the staff to children ratio?

Toddlers/Preschoolers:

  • Is there a daily schedule of events and activities?

  • Are there potty training procedures?

  • What television shows and videos are watched and how often?

  • Is outdoor play and activities offered and how often?

  • Is the menu posted?

  • What type of discipline is practiced?

School Age:

  • Is an after school snack offered?

  • Can your child study or begin homework?

  • What type of transportation is available to and from school?

  • Can your child attend when days off of school occur, when school is cancelled, during the summer, etc.?
